Mike Flamer started his recruiting career in 1988, working for Search West. During his tenure, he rose to the position of Senior Department Manager, specializing in the Materials Handling industry.

In 1992, he moved to The Dorfman Group, establishing an executive search practice for this successful management consulting firm. In 1995, Mike moved his offices from Los Angeles to Scottsdale, AZ.

During the past ten years, The Dorfman Group has expanded its practice to include Logistics and Supply Chain professionals. The Dorfman Group now focuses entirely on the search and recruitment business. Mike is Vice President and coordinates all activities regarding recruitment and search.

The Dorfman Group is recognized as one of the leading search firms in Materials Handling. Mike takes an active part in the industry. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Materials Handling & Management Society (MHMS) since 1993 as VP/Chapter Development and President. In a recent move, the MHMS reorganized and the Society's Advisory Council elected Mike as Chairman for the next year. As an active participant in the industry, Mike communicates regularly with the top management of the nation's leading companies in Materials Handling and Logistics.
